A nervous start meeting everyone for the first
time and our team was pretty shy in our first Bible study session. As
the week went on our Bible study sessions got better and better and more
people started to participate and have thoughts on the passages and
things said in the main meetings. By the end of the week, my group which
was made up of Christians with the base of the faith, had really grown
in their faith and moved on with the big man. For me personally, it has
helped me realise that I can’t do anything without God.
The morning jog was a great time with me and George constantly singing
“He’s scouse, he’s bald, we do what we’re told, Willo!” as well as our
numerous South Korean songs that we had thought up with the help of the
ipod!! The stretches were pretty fun and a good start today, as were the
cooked breakfasts. The first sports were always good despite everyone
being knackered by the third day because no-one was used to it, then
Thursday and Friday’s sessions were amazing because fitness levels
increased and fatigue disappeared and the real talent was shown!!
The evening sessions and morning sessions were always quality, with a
great mix between a serious message and jokeyness and fun!!! The number
of videos is excellent and keeps the younger ones alert and the great
way in which they are done appeal to all ages and give the best info
possible.
Well, there are just a few(!) thoughts on the Brecon camp from me!
Overall, no negatives, only positives can come out of a week like Sports
Plus because you are with the Lord’s people, praying with your brothers
and sisters, playing with your brothers and sisters and preparing to say
with your brothers and sisters. Awesome God! Love it fellas, keep up the
great work!
