Think it, Do it.
James 2: 14-26
Theme:
Think it, Do it.
Aim: to examine honestly the way we live - do faith
and deeds have equal standing in our lives, or do we give precedence
to one over the other?
Read the passage.
Discussion questions to accompany OHP/Handout
(OHP 3) Have you ever found yourself valuing faith or deeds
differently? When and why? In what kind of situations do you feel
torn between faith and deeds?
How can we ensure that our faith and deeds match up?
Who can you think of in History whose faith and deeds have all added
up to one consistent picture?
Discuss whether you think this is true about the following figures:
Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, Princess Diana, Cliff Richard,
James Mawdsley (the British activist who was imprisoned in Burma
after protesting about the lack of human rights in the country),
John Lennon, Bono (and any others you can think of).
Do you think that person would agree with you?
