Mission Interns - Christians in Sport

Closing Date: 11/02/18

CIS logoAs the work of Christians in Sport continues to develop, we are looking for Mission Interns to join us for a one-year Internship, with the possibility of extending it to two years.

This role is ideal for those of graduate age who are passionate about sharing the gospel with others, meeting other people to read the Bible and want to be trained in delivering evangelistic talks.

What will I do?

A Missions Intern will be involved in a variety of different things. You’ll be placed at Head Office in Bicester or with a Christians in Sport regional staff worker and work part time with a local church. Below are just some of the things the year will include:

-   Sharing Jesus Christ with university players and athletes

-   Meeting students one-on-one to read the Bible

-   Speaking at evangelistic events

-   Delivering student conferences, youth sports camps, church outreach and school missions

-   Serving sports missions in Europe including an international trip

Alongside practical service and mission, we want to invest in you as you serve the gospel. We will do this by:

-   Weekly Christians in Sport training, held remotely, being trained with your fellow Interns

-   Three residential weeks away for deeper training

-   Attending an external theology course (this will vary depending on where your internship is based)

When does it start?

The Internship runs from 3rd September 2018 until 26th July 2019.

If you are able to, we’d love all Interns to be part of the European Sports Mission in July 2018, but it is not a compulsory part of the Internship. Click on the link to find out more.

Finances

We ask that Interns cover the costs of the Internship and so encourage you to raise £3,000. However, we don't want finances to be a barrier to application, so if you'd like to discuss the financial implications involved, please contact us..
