Media and Communications Interns - Christians in Sport

Closing Date: 11/02/18

CIS logoWith media and digital communications dominating much of today’s world, Christians in Sport are looking for Media and Communications Interns to join us for a one-year Internship, with the possibility of it extending it to two years, to help inject gospel-centred teaching and communications into the media-saturated world.

This role is ideal for those of graduate age who are either considering the possibility of full-time gospel ministry or those wishing to go into jobs within the media, communications and marketing industry in the future.

What will I do?

The Media and Communications Interns will be based either at Head Office or with a Christians in Sport regional staff worker and will work alongside a local church. Below are just some of the things the year will include:

-   Helping plan marketing campaigns for various resources and events.

-   Learning about running various social media channels and websites.

-   Being involved in creating content for our communications whether through writing copy, designing images and graphics or creating short films.

-   Joining the team on a number of our annual conferences such as the student new year training and youth sport camps as well as on an international trip serving sports missions in Europe.

Alongside practical service, we want to invest in you as you serve the gospel. We will do this by:

-   Weekly Christians in Sport training, held remotely, being trained with your fellow interns.

-   Three residential weeks away for deeper training

-   Attending an external theology course (this will vary depending on where your internship is based).

When does it start and finish?

The Internship runs from 3rd September 2018 until 26th July 2019.

If you are able to, we’d love all Interns to be part of the European Sports Mission in July 2018, but it is not a compulsory part of the Internship. Click on the link to find out more.

We ask that Interns cover the costs of the Internship and so encourage you to raise £3,000. However, we don't want finances to be a barrier to application, so if you'd like to discuss the financial implications involved, please contact us using the details below.

If you have any questions or wish to discuss anything in further detail, either before or after submitting your application, please contact Jonny Reid on 01869 255630 or at
