Operations and Events Interns - Christians in Sport

Closing Date: 11/02/18

CIS logoAs the work of Christians in Sport continues to grow, we are looking for Operations and Events Interns to join us for a one-year Internship, with the possibility of extending it to two years.

This role is ideal for those of graduate age who are passionate about serving the work of gospel ministry behind the scenes and thinking about event planning in the future.

What will I do?

An Operations and Events Intern will be involved in a variety of different things. You’ll be based at Head Office in Bicester and work part time with a local church. Below are just some of the things the year will include:

-   Having a key role in delivering our annual student conference as well as supporting the team delivering youth sport camps.

-   Supporting churches in their ministry and events.

-   Learning about the day to day running of office life which supports the wider staff team while gaining industry knowledge first hand.

-   Serving sports missions in Europe including an international trip.

Alongside practical service, we want to invest in you as you serve the gospel. We will do this by:

-   Weekly Christians in Sport training, held remotely, being trained with your fellow interns.

-   Three residential weeks away for deeper training.

-   Attending an external theology course (this will vary depending on where your internship is based).

When does it start and finish?

The Internship runs from 3rd September 2018 until 26th July 2019.

If you are able to, we’d love all Interns to be part of the European Sports Mission in July 2018, but it is not a compulsory part of the Internship. Click on the link to find out more.

We ask that Interns cover the costs of the Internship and so encourage you to raise £3,000. However, we don't want finances to be a barrier to application, so if you'd like to discuss the financial implications involved, please contact us using the details below.

If you have any questions or wish to discuss anything in further detail, either before or after submitting your application, please contact Caroline Reid on 01869 255630 or at
