What a week! I am currently in Altenkirchen somewhere deep in Germany with Graham Daniels and 5 student group leaders at the inaugural European Sports Leadership School. It is so good to meet with brothers and sisters from across Europe to pray together, to train in how to be better at serving others in the sports culture and in sharing the gospel. I have learnt masses from those here - chatting with the Swedes about the challenges and questions people have to the gospel there, learning from the Romanians about the opposition they face, being enthused by the Germans and there trust in seeing God work so powerfully here - to mention just a few. It has been great times for us as a 7 from England too - being inspired by the teaching and really thrashing out what it means to live for Christ and share Him faithfully back home in our clubs. May there be many more weeks like these in years to come! It is so exciting to see the potential of getting people from the breadth of Europe together to train, learn and pray - I pray that this week will bear fruit in my life and draw me deeper into my relationship with the Lord as I process what we are learning and also that friendships made here will bear fruit as we look to making links and perhaps send teams to serve in Europe - watch this space! Off out to play footy now, UK and Ireland versus Romania and Albania they thrashed us on Tuesday but today we think we've got there number!
