Before Euro 1992, Andy Sinton went from being dropped the week before the squad announcement, to becoming a father for the first time, to seeing John Barnes get injured and eventually getting a call-up back to the team for the tournament in Sweden. This was to be the pinnacle of a stellar career spent in the Premier League with QPR and Tottenham and later in management.

In Episode 6 of ‘The Christians in Sport Podcast’, Andy Sinton, in conversation with Graham Daniels, tells us about the mental toughness needed to be a top level sportsperson and how he came to faith in Jesus later in his career.

In a compelling 30 minute interview, Sinton shares about how at the height of his career he was playing for Tottenham, had England caps and was earning decent money, but still struggling to find happiness. It was in these moments that through his wife and neighbours, he came to faith. He then goes onto narrate the different pressures of being a Christian in a professional sports environment.
