Club La Santa, Lanzarote 2005

Christians in Sport has been kindly donated two weeks at the Club La Santa complex in Lanzarote.  The purpose of these weeks is for Christians to bring their non Christians mates along to some great sports facilities and an opportunity to find out more about Jesus.

Here is what was said......

"Club La Santa was fantastic!!! Great facilities but amazing in how open people were, how up for talking they were, and it was really encouraging for the Christians who went.  One girl who had just become a Christians had lots of questions and a desire to know God better was so encouraging, it was class!

Another mate who came along had a great time and her highlight was being with so many people who genuinely care and are nice! She had some great chats with a lot of people that week and she said she's come to a point where she's just got the decide whether it's true or not!"

"I would like to take this opportunity to say my friends and I had a fantastic time in Lanzarote.  Everyone was welcoming, friendly and inclusive and the talks were really good.  Both Christians and non-Christians were challenged and given lots of food for thought as God's word was explained so clearly and relevantly.  It was so exciting to see non Christians listening to the talks and voluntarily coming to the Bible Studies and also asking lots of questions during the talks/questions and answers sessions.  It was an amazing environment where Christianity could be openly talked about. Thank you"

"We had an awesome time in La Santa with everyone. It was so exciting to see my mate there and loving it, the Bible studies and fellowship in particular. She had actually only committed her life to Christ three weeks before we actually went (after we'd even booked flights!), and was still definitely having big questions about going back home and telling people, and how people would react and seemed to be totally convinced that it was true but still battling with a few issues over living for Jesus...BUT, honestly it was so encouraging.  She was totally on fire for it, loving the Bible studies and the prayer and I think found it really grounding and rooting for her to go back and tell people, namely her family. She couldn't stop saying how grateful she was that it all came together that she could be there, and I feel totally the same. It was a real privilege to be in such an amazing sporting place and to be part of such a positive Christian environment."
