What’s involved? |
 Biblical
teaching
– Good times as we let God challenge us through his word,
equipping us to stand tall for Him in the world of sport.
Taught sessions, interactive discussion and personal study |
 Practical
experience
– Supporting trusted youth leaders in local churches, and
teachers in schools as together we seek to disciple young
sporty Christians and proclaim Christ to those who don’t yet
know him |
 Guest
events – Opportunity to be involved in a number of
sports outreach events across the country including Sports
Plus Camps, sports dinners, sports quiz’s, Night of
Champions and much more… |
 Personal
sport
– Get involved in a local club and make Christ known there! |

Mission trips… |
 Scotland
retreat –
The opening
week of the programme will be spent based at an outdoor
centre; a good time to establish friendships, look forward
to all that the six months has in store, and prepare you for
the challenges that lie ahead |
 Lanzarote,
Club la Santa
– A great opportunity for you to invite a sporty non
Christian friend to a top sporting complex, with the purpose
of introducing them to Christ through bible study and
general discussion

 School
mission
– As a team we will be leading a school mission, involving
assemblies, RE lessons, PE lessons, after school sports
activities, and evening presentations |

Who’s involved?
The Academy program falls within the
responsibility of the youth department, but will involve
input from a number of Christians in Sport staff. Colin
Wells will directly oversee the programme, supported by
Rachel Young who will be responsible for all female students
on a pastoral level.

What else?
Cost –
The total cost of the
programme will be
approx.
£3000.
This covers all accommodation, food,
transport, mission trips, study books, and expenses related
directly to the work.
Accommodation –
Will be
provided to house all Academy students. Female students will
be housed separately from the male students. We recognise
the value of providing an environment in which the students
can learn to live independently yet within a framework that
is also well monitored
Food –
Students
will be given a monthly allowance to buy food accordingly.
The buying, cooking and monitoring of food will be left to
the students care

1.

Applicants will then be informally
interviewed during the next 4 weeks at a venue and
time to be decided
3.
Applicants will then be notified by May 1st
as to whether or not their application has been successful

suitability on a first come, first served basis.
