school year 2007-2008:
All
‘Night of Champions’ events take place at
Magdalen College School sports hall. The target
age group is school year 7-9 (11-14 years old).
Further information will follow roughly 6 weeks
prior to each event.

that should provide you with an understanding of

What happens at a
‘Night of Champions’?
‘Night of
Champions’ is an evening in which sporty young
people enjoy and compete in a number of
different sports, playing a total of 8-9 games
against the other competing teams. During the
half time drinks break the gospel is presented
in relation to the theme of the whole evening
What is the
purpose of ‘Night of Champions’?
‘Night of
Champions’ is an outreach event and so the talk
itself will be focused more towards the non
Christian. However the event exists to support
the young sporty Christian in their own personal
evangelism, providing a great opportunity for
them to invite their sporty friends, to a
natural environment, where they will be
presented with the good news of Jesus in a clear
and relevant way.
How does ‘Night
of Champions’ fit in with my ongoing youth work?
We would
love to think that ‘Night of Champions’ could be
a valuable support to you, and your youth work
programme. Especially as you seek to help your
young people represent Christ in every walk of
life, including their sport. It would be great
to have you involved in the night or to have a
contact from your church / school / youth group
present on the night to support your young
people. This will be most effective with respect
to your ongoing investment in the young people
