| Information for Young People
If you love
Jesus and are passionate about sport then this
group is for you! Christians in sport exists for
one reason – to make Jesus known in the world of
sport. Imagine the impact – Christian
young people all across this country passionate
about playing their sport, and passionate about
representing Jesus as they do!
What
is the purpose of a PRAY PLAY SAY group?
The purpose
is simple – to bring together sporty young
Christians from all across Oxfordshire in order
to equip and encourage them to stand tall for
Jesus and represent him well as they play their
sport. In short we want to help them PRAY
for their non Christian friends, PLAY in
a way that honours God, and finally be ready to
SAY something of the good news of Jesus
Christ.
What
happens at a PRAY PLAY SAY group?
The 2 hour
session will be split into two main sections.
The first 45 minutes learning how we can
represent Christ better as we let God challenge
us through his word. The remainder of the time
will be spent getting involved in some top
sporting action!
What
about the SPORTS OUTREACH events – where do they
fit in?
The world of
sport is a tough environment to communicate the
good news of Jesus to your friends. The sports
outreach events provide the young people of
Oxfordshire with a great opportunity to invite a
non Christian friend to an event in which the
gospel will be clearly and relevantly presented
– Pencil in the dates and start thinking who you
could invite!
