BIBLE BIT

Series: Do everything with all your heart

Colossians 3v23 says "whatever you do work at it with all your heart as working for the lord, not for men."

For the next couple of months we're going to have a look at what it means to do everything with all our hearts. We're going to look at what it means to play in a way that honours God above every worldly desire. We're going to take the ten big issues for young sportspeople to address as they seek to play their sport with all their heart. And so, we need your help.

WHAT ARE THE BIG ISSUES YOU HAVE TO THINK THROUGH/FIGHT AGAINST IN YOUR QUEST TO HONOUR GOD THROUGH PLAYING YOUR SPORT?

Please email your list of issues and we'll work through what God teaches about how we are to respond.

Paul in Colossians is quite clear that every area of our lives should be governed by the attitude of heart and he says that we should give our all to every situation that we find ourselves in. This might mean physically, it might mean mentally, but it always means wholeheartedly; and the key to it all is our motive and attitude.

I wonder if we really understood that God sees everything we do, and understood what an honour and privilege it is to give it all back to him, would we change?

Let's pray that God would change our desires, motives and attitudes so that all the time we will do everything with all our heart. Exciting to find out more!

  • Pray for the Pray Play Say groups, (see list above) that they would equip and encourage Pray Play Say-ers this week.
