BIBLE BIT
Friends,
We’re re-capping Pray/Play/Say remember,
in the 5 weeks leading up to the summer.
Why do I very often complicate things?
How frustrated do you get if you play
team sport and those around you all want
to do everything other than the basics.
When people complicate things when there
are easy options to take we get
frustrated.
I remember when I first started working
with Christians in Sport. People used to
ask me ‘so Lancs, what is it you are
trying to do within the youth
department?’ I stuttered and stumbled
around trying to impress them with some
big words that I didn’t even know what
they meant – I complicated things and
that was because I didn’t really have
the basics in place, I didn’t know what
we were trying to do with the youth
department.
Now if anyone asks me – I’m crystal
clear.
‘We want to reach the world of sport for
Jesus – a Christian in every youth
sports team/club in the country
How do you see that happening?
'Through supporting our young Christian
sports players to Pray/Play/Say'
It's that simple – Pray/Play/Say is at
the heart of the work. It is the oil
that runs the engine. It’s not
longwinded, it's not complicated and
there’s certainly no big words.
The concept is brilliantly simple – the
living it is desperately hard!
Don’t complicate things – get back on
track and Pray/Play/Say – the youth way,
today!!!!!

Full Name: Chris John Bullock
Nickname: Boulards!
Sport: Football
Sports Status: Local Youth level for my club and adult league
for church.
Story: Representing Jesus has never been easy but he has
always been the main reason for me playing football. My team mates
all know what I stand for and respect me for it much more nowadays.
I've had some good debates with team mates and a few have mentioned
a few times that they are coming to church soon! Me and my best mate
(who came to sports camp last year after becoming a Christian whilst
playing for my school team through me witnessing to him...) are both
standing tall for Christ as we play for different teams in the same
league...right now I am praying for my team mates that they will
come to know Jesus as their Lord and saviour.
