Youth sport update      from Christians in Sport

Hello Friends

News – Another Sports Pluser has been asked to represent his Country, England at u/16 level rugby.  Sam Smith has been included in the squad to face Wales, Italy and France in a tournament to be held during the Easter Holiday!

Do the business Sam – Represent Christ well.

Well – how are we all?

Had a chance to share your testimony with anyone this week??

We received a few more testimonies in from you guys – Awesome stuff!!

Tip No 2 – Personal not preachy!!

I wonder if you’ve ever sat next to someone who has told you their testimony and you just feel as though you’ve been hit over the head with a bible as they shouted and bellowed at you!!

Now listen – I’m guilty of that so this is as much for me as you guys!

Your testimony is your personal story and you’re trying to help your friend see a bit more into your life with Jesus.  Of course you should be challenging, of course you will say things that your friend wont necessarily agree with but you’re not trying to force them to become a Christian through listening to your testimony.

If you’re confrontational in nature, you’ll have to careful of this one!

So practise it again – 2 minutes, with a structure, personal not preachy and then send them in – we love to read to read them!!

Go well this week friends,

The Youth Department
