Hello friends
Do hope that you’re all continuing to represent Christ well in your
sports teams.
It has been a good week for the youth department. The girls gap year
academy started on Wednesday so its all very exciting having them
around the office, involved in different schools and churches in the
region of Oxfordshire.
For all you guys that are finishing 6th form in the next few years
make sure you check it out – what a great way to spend 6 months of
your gap year!! (Find
out more)
So – Let's have a look at what it means to say something of the good
news of Jesus to friends.
Today we’re gonna start on ‘your story’:
If someone asked you how you became a Christian, how would you
answer them? Would you be ready to tell them your testimony??
Before we give you any pointers to help you structure your testimony
– have a go at it yourself!
Imagine the situation – You and your friend are in the changing
room, the last to leave after a big game. She/He stops you - ‘so
you’re a Christian, how did you get involved in that stuff?’ You’ve
now got 2 minutes to explain your story.
Squeak or Speak??
Next week we’ll start giving you some tips – but for this week, a
bit of homework. Write down your testimony and practise it with a
Christian friend. Better still write it out and send it in to us –
youthsport@christiansinsport.org.uk
and we’ll check it out and give you some personal tips!
Love receiving your emails – got a magnificent one of Chris Boulards
from Brecon camp last week!! Good lad Chris!!
Go well friends – ‘Jesus, all for Jesus’
