In our quest to represent Jesus better in our sport through the framework of Pray, Play, Say – we are now in the area of ‘Say’. Yet before we try and help you be better at communicating the good news we need to know the good news inside and out! – series Title = “Know the Truth.”  We’re at statement 2 this week:

‘Know the Truth’

1 – God is God

2 – God is the creator of all things
 

Isn’t it a nightmare when you’re lying in bed trying to get to sleep but you just cant!!

What do you do? Count Sheep?

Next time you’re struggling, try to imagine those first few moments when God started creating the earth:

Check out Genesis 1v2 ‘Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep’

Can you imagine the moment when God in a booming voice cried out

“LET THERE BE LIGHT” – and pow – there was light.


Okay let’s take it a step further – Gen 1v26 talks about Man being created in the image of God and in v31 on the day God created man we hear that God looked upon all that he had created and declared ‘very good’.

Man was the crescendo of God’s creation, being created in the image of God, the only created being that had a special resemblance to the great God himself.

You are magnificently created by an Almighty God. This means your ability to play sport is God-given. Every move, every stretch, every breath you take is only because God has given it to you!!

God is the creator of all things!!

Thank Him Today – You are able to play because of Him!!
