Welcome to Youth sport update from Christians in Sport |

Friends. Welcome to the first youth update since the summer Sports Plus Camps! What a fantastic summer it was and so good to see some of you there. Let me update you all on the youth department. At the moment we have 413 young people in the UK who are trying to represent Jesus Christ in their Sport. It really is thrilling to see and we’re so glad that you have signed up to do just that. Those of you who came to Sports Plus Camp know exactly what this looks like but no harm in going over it again. We will have a look at what it means to represent Jesus in our sport by taking an aspect of PRAY,PLAY,SAY over the next few weeks. We take our Directions from the book of Colossians in the new testament of the bible. Paul is writing to a bunch of Christians who are in danger of not putting Jesus central in their lives. There are false teachers who have entered the church who are telling the Christians that following Jesus is okay but you need to follow other things too in order to be a super Christian – In this case food regulations, religious festivals, worship of angels (Col 2v16-18) Paul is saying to the Christian guys ‘listen all you need is Jesus’ ‘Its all about Jesus’ You don’t need anything else except Jesus’. Have a read of Colossians 1v15-23 – That is why Paul says its all about Jesus! What is your understanding of Jesus today? Is it all about Him? As we start this year – Let your focus be upon Jesus so that you can go and represent Him well.
