Big Questions: How do I become a Christian? |

It’s a question that is not often answered. It’s a question that is quite hard to answer –why?Let’s have a look.
Well, if you’ve read the ‘what’s the big deal about Jesus?’ section (have a look now) you’ll find that the whole message of the Christian faith hangs on this one word ‘done’. Christians believe that Jesus has ‘done’ everything through his work on the cross, that there is nothing that a person can do to get to God, other than believe in what Jesus has done for them. So when we come to asking the big question ‘how do I become a Christian?’ in one way it’s easily answered – Nothing, just believe in Jesus. What makes a person a Christian is what they believe in. If you believe that Jesus is God’s son and that he died for you and you want to make him the ruler of your life – you’re already a Christian. However it’s often useful to work through a structure to help you. Be careful to understand that it’s not in saying the prayer below that makes you a Christian, it’s what goes on in the heart – do you believe? Maybe you have come to a place where you know you need to turn to Jesus – you are ready to become a follower of him. Below is a guide of making that step:
