Do
you play at a local club? |

Some people say that
there is no better feeling than scoring
that winning point, try, goal, net or
basket. Other people say the feeling of
truly pushing yourself to your athletic
potential is second to none. Still
others say that the feeling of trust,
friendship and belonging get no better
than in a sports team!
Sport is what you make of
it – it can shape characters, form a
system of values, helps develop a
positive outlook on life. Most of all
it is really good fun, where often
friendships for life are made.
Have you ever stopped to think about where
your sporting ability comes from?
At Christians in Sport we believe that your
sporting ability comes from God. The hand-eye coordination
you have to hit a tennis ball, or the back-lift of the leg to strike
a volley is a work of God! |

Are you involved in any school sports? |
|
|
|
Have you during the last week pretended to be your sporting
hero as you curled in a great cross, scored a 3 pointer, putted
a 12 yarder or hit a top spin passing stroke down the line? |

Perhaps you're wondering
"where do I go from here?"
|
|
 |
|
 |
So what?
That’s an important question -
And so, if he actually gave you this ability,
who should it belong to? Yours to do with as you wish? The Bible
teaches it is actually yours to be used for God. If that is the
case why don’t we see it very often among the sporting
superstars on TV? In the sports news today we see a lot of
negative aspects of sport - cheating, win at all costs
attitudes, swearing, back chatting – the list goes on!
What has gone wrong?
Will you be different?
