Give thanks for Christian elite rugby players we know and support through regular 1-2-1s and online group Bible studies. Pray that God would raise up more players within the world of professional rugby and that we’d be able to connect with and support them.
Monday, 13th October
New Year Training
Pray ahead of New Year Training, our annual conference happening across three venues in January. Pray that many sportspeople would sign up to attend, and that God would guide Christians in Sport staff as they prepare the teaching programme for the conference.
Tuesday, 14th October
Jesmond Parish Church Mission Week
Pray for the Sports Quiz tonight hosted by Jesmond Parish Church as part of a week of evangelistic events supported by Christians in Sport. Pray for boldness as Christians invite their friends to the quiz and pray for Graham Daniels as he shares a short talk on the good news of Jesus during the evening.
Wednesday, 15th October
A Passion for Life
Give thanks for our partnership with A Passion for Life to support over 800 churches in evangelism to local communities. Pray that The Evangelism Conference, run at two venues and livestreamed to regional hubs, will encourage churches ahead of a national mission initiative in 2026.
Thursday, 16th October
Jesmond Parish Church Mission Week
Pray for tonight’s evangelistic event as part of a mission week supported by Christians in Sport. As Graham Daniels is interviewed on the theme of ‘Does it matter what I believe?’, pray this would enable guests to engage with the good news of Jesus. Pray that guests at events throughout the week would want to attend church on Sunday to explore the Christian faith further.
Friday, 17th October
Oxford local network gathering
Pray for the Oxford local network prayer gathering this evening. Pray that local Christian sportspeople will be encouraged to continue living and speaking for Jesus within their sports clubs and teams after meeting to pray and share life together.
Saturday, 18th October
European Christian Sports Union (ECSU)
Pray for our partnership with ministries across Europe who share the vision to reach sportspeople with the good news of Jesus. Give thanks for the ECSU strategy team gathering that took place over the last three days and pray that God would continue to guide this team as they seek His wisdom to lead and shape this movement.
