Sunday, 19th July
Radio 4 World Cup Service
Give thanks to God for the opportunity to host Radio 4’s ‘Sunday Worship’ programme this morning at 0810 with Graham Daniels, Laura Murdoch and Lloyd Thomas contributing as well as Christians in Sport volunteers. Pray that the programme enables many to engage with the good news of Jesus.
Monday, 20th July
Pray for Sports Plus as young people arrive at Belfast 1, Brecon and Monkton 1 this Sunday. Pray for the teams of leaders at each camp as they prepare over the weekend, that they would trust in God’s sovereign rule and take the opportunities He gives them to share the Good News throughout the week.
Tuesday, 21st July
Season 50 Matched Funding
Give thanks to God for the generosity that has enabled any new or increased regular giving to Christians in Sport to be matched this year. Pray that all of the available matched funding can be drawn down this year, and that this enables fruit in the mission of reaching sportspeople for Christ.
Wednesday, 22nd July
Digital Resources
Pray that God would use digital resources published on The Academy and shared on social media to encourage and equip Christian sportspeople. Pray that God would continue to guide us as we seek to develop engaging and encouraging digital resources.
Thursday, 23rd July
Commonwealth Games
Pray for Christian athletes competing at the Commonwealth Games as they begin today. Pray especially for Christian track and field athletes to find time to rest and connect with other Christians to be encouraged during a busy summer of competition.
Friday, 24th July
Mission Resources
Give thanks to God for using resources, including the Sports Mission Pack and a tract published by 10ofThose during the FIFA World Cup. Pray for sportspeople who attended big screen events, sports quizzes, or had gospel conversations with friends, that they would consider Jesus offer of salvation for themselves.
Saturday, 25th July
Give thanks for the opportunity to speak at the 2026 Keswick Convention this coming week. Pray for attendees at the convention to be strengthened in their faith and pray for Graham Daniels as he speaks on Revelation during the week.

2026 is special for Christians in Sport; on Wednesday, 18th February, we marked fifty years since a small group met with the conviction that God cared deeply about sport, and that He would act in the world of sport if they prayed.
