Sunday, 28th June
East Kent Local Network Football Event
Give thanks for the football outreach event run yesterday by the East Kent Local Network. Pray that those who came to enjoy playing football and hear a short gospel talk, will go away encouraged to investigate the good news of Jesus further.
Monday, 29th June
Staff Days
Pray for the Christians in Sport staff team meeting together across Monday and Tuesday this week. Pray for God’s wisdom and direction and that it would be an encouraging time ahead of the summer of Sports Plus along with many other opportunities to reach the world of sport for Christ.
Tuesday, 30th June
Sports Plus 2026
Pray for Sports Plus as the first camps begin in just under a month. Pray, as young people and leaders hear gospel truth, that all would trust in Jesus as “Messiah.” Pray leaders would trust in God’s sovereign rule and take opportunities He gives to share the gospel with young people this summer.
Wednesday, 1st July
Elite Netball
Give thanks for the Christian netballers we’re able to support through regular group Bible studies and 1-2-1s. Pray for those preparing to compete at the Commonwealth Games this summer, that they would know their identity is not shaped by how they perform at the games. Pray that those who missed out on making national teams would draw near to Christ as they process disappointment.
Thursday, 2nd July
National Radio
Give thanks to God for the opportunity for Graham Daniels to speak on BBC Radio 2’s ‘Pause for Thought’ this morning and over the next four weeks. Pray that those listening would be encouraged to think about the good news of Jesus for themselves having heard these short reflections.
Friday, 3rd July
Mission Resources
Pray that God would use resources produced by Christians in Sport, including the Sports Mission Pack and a short tract published by 10ofThose, to enable and support mission to sportspeople across the UK during the FIFA World Cup.
Saturday, 4th July
Sports Plus
As speakers prepare talks ahead of Sports Plus, pray that the teaching in Matthew’s Gospel in the Evening Meeting and 2 Corinthians in the Morning Meeting would be faithful, understood and applied to every young person.
